This is one of those girl-crazy songs I like to write. I wanted to kick something a bit heavier and more upbeat. I feel like I'm getting too used to my acoustic guitar, so this was a nice break playing the electric as well as getting a little more 'busy' on the drums.
I went in to record without any music at all. Sometimes I like to try to start from total scratch like that and let the music steer what's going to happen next. The piece started out sounding like Green Day. Then, the Good Charlotte sound appeared. At the same time, I 'used' a bit of The Beatles melody on the "But I know it'll all work out" part of the song.
